Around 90 Members and guests attended our May Networking Meeting which was held at Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa.
Sponsor John MacPhie of Key Training & Development presented on the Platinum Rule “Treat other people the way they would like to be Treated” which is a concept in people and skills development that is being adopted by many businesses.
Gill Shakeshaft, Marketing Manager from Hugh Baird College gave a very interesting presentation on the new £45 Million proposed new Hugh Baird Building. This is currently in public consultation and there were many questions from the floor on the iconic visuals of how the building may look.
The Prestige Ball in December raised funds for two of Sefton Chamber’s charities, one half being Queenscourt Hospice. Steve Dickson presented a cheque for £1,263 to its Director of Non-Clinical Services, Ann Throp.
The significant song to round off the meeting was played and this was:
“It aint what you do….. but its the way that you do it”
